Yes, I use a wireless / network media player that connects to your TV over an HDMI cable and connected to the router.
After the deposition of film music in a Media Storage NAS 1 TB drive should not be on the PC to the NAS directly to the D-Link router on a media player face

One possibility is to directly connect to your computer to your TV. They are a special cable to go from the graphics card in your computer to your TV (the TV's input is RGB or HDMI).

Another option is a PS3/xbox360/appleTV/etc. The problem you can use them is to simply play all the videos in certain formats, and some video / audio encoders (codecs). In this case, you need a media server with transcoding, which is a little complicated if you want to run.

Try one of the Archos range of this kind

It has a USB port, so you should be able to read directly from the hard drive or upload it to the Archos and play from there. It has a TV output standards.

Otherwise, a banner-Fi, as they do what you want
